Description
This is the 4th year the Lake Tekapo Fishing Competition has run. Each year has seen a growth in entrants, who come from all over New Zealand. Enjoy the spectacular Tekapo scenery while passing the time fishing beautiful Lake Tekapo. The competition runs for 1 day on Saturday 14th March 2009 with prizegiving held at the Tekapo Community Hall in the evening. A bbq is provided and all partners & families welcome. BYO drink.

On Sunday, enjoy the crafts and stalls available at the Mackenzie High Country Fete to be held at the Mount John Homestead.

Lake Tekapo Fishing Competition - 2/04/2009

A record 140 entrants competed in this year’s Lake Tekapo Fishing Competition. Organised by the Lake Tekapo Events Group and now into its fourth year, the competition is proving to be a popular event on the annual fishing calendar. This year’s entrants came from as far north as Hamilton. We even had overseas visitors from France & Australia. Lake Tekapo did not disappoint with the weather....
